Braehead Ice Centre is ready to welcome the public back as it officially opens its doors for the 2025/26 season on Saturday 23rd August with a special Grand Re-Opening Skate from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
The much-anticipated event will give skaters of all ages the chance to enjoy the ice in style, with three hours of skating, music, and entertainment. The afternoon will feature a mid-session ice cut at 2:30pm to ensure the smoothest skating surface possible.
Fans attending the Glasgow Clan’s pre-season game against the Herlev Eagles that evening can also enjoy a perk – discounted entry to the skate session when presenting their game ticket on arrival.
Adding to the atmosphere will be disco lights and music to create a lively party feel. The first hour of the event will include free face painting for children, offering an extra splash of colour to the occasion. Attendees will also have the chance to meet the Ice Centre’s brand-new mascot for the very first time and capture a souvenir selfie.
For those who like to combine skating with a sweet treat, the popular Loop and Scoop will be on hand to serve ice cream and other indulgences.
Whether you are a regular on the ice or taking your first steps into skating, the Grand Re-Opening Skate is a great way to celebrate the start of a new season at Braehead Ice Centre.
Tickets are expected to sell quickly, and visitors are encouraged to book in advance to secure their place.
Book your session online now and be part of the celebration.
